Am I the only that thought this was a War game (Paintball).
Damn.
Turns out it was literally the "Hunger Game" after all. I've never played archery so I was completely ok with it. There's always a first for everything.
After our warm loving family dinner at a nearby Cha Chaan Ting, we headed over to the venue. Indoor archery ... can you imagine how it's like ? I kept questioning everyone how do you play Archery in a group as a game ? When I think of Archery... I think of the Target board where we try to aim for the Jackpot. When we arrived at the venue, it was set up like a mini soccer field. How cool is that ? The staff begin to blow up some equipments. I was still confused as to how to play this game. After the staff explained how to play the game, I begin to understand. Archery Ja ma.... Piece of cake
"What's the goal of the game"?
To earn points by shooting down the 五筒."What's my goal of the game ?"
To shoot the players haha. Their pain is my pleasure
- as alwaysUlrich and Dr divided the players in two teams. Happy to be in U's team
U U all the way. Realize most of the time I'm always on the opposing team from Dr whenever we play games... Wonder why.
But I don't mind because it gives me excuse to shoot at him---oh yeahArchery actually not that hard I must say. Maybe for this version when the surface area of the arrow's pointer is quite big in diameter.... In reality... Arrows are pointy like darts (super duper sucky at Darts ). I picked up the archery , placed my arrow, and shoot- I thought to myself ... "Hey , this is not bad! I can do this. Piece of cake"
First round: Hide , Duke , aim (but not shoot) then duke again. Whole point of the first round was to test the water. See where everyone's aim is , how good or bad they are, where's a good shooting spot/ hiding place. Under our leaders guidance ( wonderful U ), our aims keep progressing
What kind of player am I ?
The patient , the underdog , the silent killer :p.
Many members were quite courageous, going out empty handed , freely , to go pick up the arrows ( "I don't give a F if u shoot me or what" kind of feeling ). I don't recall going into the safe zone AT ALL to recover arrows ( you can call me a wuss , but a Queen does not need to go out and pick up arrows , they should be handed to her haha ).
Our team have many brave souls.Henry : top dog ! What a great player he was. Run around, fetch the arrows ( without getting shot - well most of the time ). With him In team... We sure have plentiful arrows at all times! Thanks !!!
Wai is a strong competitor too. When all of us were shot down, he was the only one standing ... Against 3 members of the opposing team. Bravo !
Candy is always a team sport! Happy to be in her team.. I wouldn't want to shoot down poor Candy now would I ?
Emma you're a great sport as well. I enjoy watching you run around and shoot and hide and duke and run again and shoot. Great to be part of your team as well.
Niccolo. Since last year when we played war game together , I know you're a strong competitor. With you by my side, I don't worry much.
W, you're a funny one. I would definitely say you're the silent killer. Standing at the back always keeping an eye out , awesome!
And finally MrU. Team leader ! You always bring laughter into the family. You definitely put on a great show: battle of the team leaders! Two thumbs up.This has been a wonderful eventful night. My first time playing archery.
Looking forward to more upcoming "non-sex" activities with the family.Love QB
