This trip to KT has been a great short getaway. SBC have been giving me many Firsts.
When Dr suggested KT or BKK i was quite please with the two choices.
First time to KT
First time going on a trip with SBC
First time taking CI
First time sharing a bed with someone who looks strong on the outside but in fact very soft on the inside
First time eating various foods
First time going to KHH
First time...The morning was gloomy. Weather wasn't looking too good. I already foresee many delays.
Group of ducklings, one by one, walking to the gate."Gotta go to the bathroom, meet you at the gate"
As i got out, Candy came in and said gate change
As i approach to the gate, i saw ah Fu wandering around.
"Ah fu, gate change ar, where's Dr and Sophie?"The scene depicts a group of lost ducklings trying to find its way back to the mother duck.
We walked to the new gate trying to find the rest of the group... Eventually one by one showed up.The flight has been delayed for about 20 minutes. Quite expected. Amber rain...then Black rain i think.
We boarded the plane and got to our assigned seats. They say CI have one of the better looking staffs,
I tried to spot any goodlooking ones..but honestly, they weren't that interesting.
To my left, busy CEO still on her phone talking about Biz,
To my right, the very impatient one blasting his music.
To my far right, Grandpa and Candy listening to their own music.
What do i do? Take out my diary and start writing of course."Ladies and Gentlemen, sorry for the delay. Due to air traffic control, there will be another
40 minutes before we take off" the captain announced.
"Fxxxx, we would've been in Japan by now..." the impatient one ventsHours later we've arrived in KHH. Wow, smaller than i expected. Hello to countryside Taiwan. Nothing excites me other than the upcoming food fest....
The car ride was a smooth one. Everytime i sit in a car, i fall asleep. Thats what i do best. No matter where i am, who i'm with, how loud my surrounding is...i can always fall asleep. Hours later, we've arrived to our final destination. This place was so serene and peaceful. Even the locals here were very chillax. What a wonderful place to just relax and hea. C'mon, even the dogs were so slack there were lying on the ground in the middle of the road.
Props to Dr and Candy for finding these awesome accomodation. Once we got into the house, first thing we did was looking around. Three beautiful rooms (all having its own shower and tub!!) Soooooooooooo nice.
The day is leaving, the night is coming---ITS TIME FOR FEASTING!So there's only one long street of hawker food in KT. I was longing for my Taiwanese sausages for so long.
Steamed Clams 7/10
Chicken fried steak 7/10
Mobile Bar....They each bought an alcholic drink. As for me, i passed because i don't want alchol get in the way of me eating my way through the night market (it was indeed a very wise decision). Poor CEO. Didnt know her tolerance level was that low. One drink did it for her. Throughout the night, she was like a lost puppy dozing off into her own world hahaahah. It was cute.Stinky tofu 10/10 !!! (It was so stinky and so spicy).
"Fu, do you want to kiss me?" He jumped instantaneously "Get away" he scolded
"But i want to kiss you....... come to me"!
haha.
He couldn't stand the stinky Tofu.
Taiwanese sausages 10/10 (I think i had 4 that night?)
Mashed potato with cheese 7/10
Gelato 7/10
Papaya Milk 6/10 (too diluted, not enough papaya)
Tiramisu and Brownies (Homemade by this cute looking Taiwanese) 7.5/10
Strawberry Flavored Beer 9/10
The night ended with some good food in our stomach and a good night with the bathroom.Day 2:
First things first.... Food. When i woke up, first thing i thought of was my German Sausage breakfast.
We had complimentary breakfast made at this hut near the house. Such a homey place. I think i could spend a whole summer here just to chillax and write my book. Everyone had their own choice of breakfast. It was delicious. The homemade bread was so tasty with the butter.The weather was nice. Time to go to the beach. We all changed into our bathing suits and headed to the White Sand Beach. Set up our tent and placed our mini chairs, Dr went to explore the beach, while CEO walked around as if she was making a personal MTV, Fu Candy and I were just chilling there.
"Ok, i'll sun bathe with you for 5 minutes and we go dip in the water" I said.
Took off our tops and bottoms and sunbathe under the hot boiling sun and warm sand with Candy.
Next we dipped ourselves in the water, big waves, salty water! Amazing.Lets just say the outcome of our beach time wasn't that pleasant.
Time for lunch, so we headed to the pier and had ourselves a nice Seafood Lunch.... But in fact, the food wasnt' THAT great... We had:
"Local vegetables" --- Even Cows can chew better than that...
Sashimi
Clams
Conch
Shrimp
Fried Rice
Etc. ETc. Etc.... OVerall it was a very filling lunch.Night time we went to the night market and feast again.
This trip has been a great one, especially spending some quality time with our lovely members. Thanks Dr for organizing it and thanks for the other members for attending. Ive had an awesome time in KT with you guys.
Looking forward to the next event
